Bio

Brooklyn-based editor Tyler Jensen is renowned for his distinctive approach to crafting award-winning features, documentaries and music videos. Fueled by a deep passion for horror films and dance music, he intricately weaves gripping atmospheres and irresistible rhythms into his projects. A storyteller at heart, he is also uniquely attuned to performance, instinctively drawing out the emotional subtext of the characters within a scene and the arc of the film as a whole.  He is hard-working, adaptable and devoted to nurturing the director's vision while also contributing his own expertise. 

Notable among his works is Scream, Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street, a 2020 Dorian Award-winning feature documentary that intimately explores the life of actor Mark Patton. Additionally, his editing contributions to Our Son, a 2024 GLAAD-nominated feature film starring Billy Porter and Luke Evans, have garnered critical acclaim.

In addition to  cutting various projects for Pitchfork.TV, Tyler has edited music videos for esteemed artists like CHVRCHES, Bright Light Bright Light, Emel Mathlouthi, The Carry Nation, Hunx and His Punx, MEN, Big Dipper, Matracia, Boy Radio and Majorettes.
